The Mission Society of the Philippines (MSP) To understand better the apostolate of the Fil-Mission Auxiliary Association, we have to understand the Mission Society of the Philippines. The Mission Society of the Philippines (MSP), the country's national mission society, was established in January 1965 by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines during the 4th Centennial celebration of Christianity in the Philippines, as an expression of love and gratitude to God for the gift of Christianity. Through the MSP, a clerical missionary society, the bishops hope to share the faith with other peoples, especially with our fellow Asians. The foremost target of the Mission Society of the Philippines is not to stay in the Philippines but she is mandated to go out to other countries. The MSP was established to answer the missionary challenge of the Philippine Church. Our missionaries are presently assigned in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and New Zealand. The MSP missionary apostolate covers not only the locals or natives of the mission lands and but also works for Filipino Migrant Workers as well since it recognized the missionary potentials of the migrant workers. |

Vision The gift of faith lived and shared in love for Him by all especially the peoples of Asia. Charism In love and gratitude to the Father, ours is a joyful missionary spirit flowing from the deep union with Christ through Mary and in the power of the Holy Spirit willing to spend and be spent in sharing His Gospel to all. |
Mission Statement The MSP is committed: 1. To the incarnation of the church among non-believers through evangelization. 2. To support evangelical service in favor of young churches until they attain ecclesial maturity. 3. To auxiliary apostolic ministry for the renewal of churches rendered unable to catechize their own people until they achieve ministerial self-reliance. |
